Kari Mellon, founder and owner of Opes Tax, has spent her entire career working with business owners, individuals and trustees providing bespoke tax advice. She specialises in income tax planning, capital gains tax planning, inheritance tax planning, trust taxation and tax compliance.

​

Kari started her tax career with Coutts & Co and within four years was fully qualified and managing the complex tax affairs of wealthy individuals, entrepreneurs and partners in professional practices. She latterly returned to the East Midlands where she worked for Grant Thornton.

Kari is a Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA), member of the Personal Finance Society (CertPFS) and a Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP).

Outside of Opes Tax, Kari is a director of two charities: Women's Aid Leicestershire Limited and UAVA Limited.
